Remote design sprints have become a necessity nowadays, and you will definitely need some tools to get the same energy and pace going as you would in real life. Here are our top picks to make it work, and beyond!
๐ Slack: our go-to tool for communication, both internally as well as setting up conference calls with clients' teams. What makes Slack just a tad more convenient than, say, Zoom, is that the overlay with everyone's webcam stays on top at all times.
๐ Miro: this is what makes remote design sprints possible. Collaborate with teams on the same virtual whiteboard. It even has great plugins that enable voting rounds as well as countdown timers. Great stuff!
๐ Figma: we've been running with Figma from the get-go. A cloud-based, collaborative, easy-to use design tool. We don't see a reason to use anything else, and switching to remote hasn't changed anything in terms of design work.
๐ Loom: we primarily use this to record our user interviews, which, of course, also need to take place remotely. What sets Loom apart is that it's pretty much completely dummy-proof, and hassle-free.
