👋 Who We Are
At Nimble, we design and build high-quality digital products that make people’s lives easier. No fluff, no jargon, just smart, intuitive tools that solve real problems. With Polaris, our strategy team, we help clients tackle big, complex challenges and turn them into clear opportunities.
As a Design Strategist (AI-Native), you’ll be at the front line of this work. You’ll use AI not just as a tool but as a core part of your process, framing problems, testing ideas, and creating design foundations that set projects up for success. This role is designed for someone who wants to grow into a Design Lead and help shape the future of AI-native design at Nimble.
💼 What You’ll Be Doing
- Frame problem spaces, uncovering the human and business drivers behind every brief.
- Explore desirability, feasibility, and viability to spot the real opportunities.
- Design and facilitate custom discovery workshops.
- Translate insights into clear, actionable design directions.
- Create the foundations for new products, from minimal viable brands to first design systems.
- Communicate recommendations clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- Pioneer AI-native workflows; experimenting with tools, designing for new UX paradigms (voice, AR, agentic experiences…), and pushing boundaries with emerging frameworks.
🧠 Who You Are
- Strong in UX and user-centered thinking.
- Skilled at facilitation and co-creation.
- Confident in client communication and storytelling.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration.
- Curious about business design, venture building, and opportunity framing.
- Someone who can turn chaos into clarity—often within days.
- Passionate about using AI to amplify human creativity.
🛠 How You’ll Work
You’ll move from problem framing to concept validation in short, high-intensity cycles, blending AI tools at every stage:
- Intake with the client
- Facilitated sessions (sprints, storyboarding, co-creation)
- User testing and prototype validation
- Creation of design foundations
- Synthesis into recommendations
- Presentation of findings and next steps
Polaris doesn’t follow recipes, we adapt, experiment, and design processes around each challenge.
📦 What You’ll Deliver
- High-fidelity prototypes (Figma + AI-assisted tools like V0, Lovable, Galileo)
- Minimal viable brand packages for greenfield projects
- Design system setups in collaboration with Engineering Leads
- Workshop materials (FigJam + AI-generated ideation)
- Test plans, research scripts, and reports with clear recommendations
- Client-ready presentations that inspire action
🚀 Your Growth Path
This role is a stepping stone toward Design Lead at Nimble. Growing into this role means:
- Leading client communication and project framing
- Facilitating workshops and guiding synthesis
- Owning reporting, recommendations, and delivery
- Supporting sales with pitches, RFPs, and event presence
- Coaching designers and raising the studio’s quality bar
- Scouting and developing new design talent
- Shaping internal templates, workflows, and custom AI tools
You’ll start by supporting and co-owning quality, and grow into leading projects, teams, and eventually Nimble’s design vision.
