Once you know exactly what you want to build for your new digital endeavor, the next big questions is: "How?"
There's a seemingly never-ending supply of tools, frameworks, and technologies available, so how do you make the right call? It's always going to be a balancing act, but being mindful of the end goal as well as the most efficient way to get there, will go a long way. Here's how we pick what we need:
π We stick to what we know will work, but we're wary of new, possibly advantageous tools or technologies that could give us a competitive edge.
π Our aim is always to deliver quickly, which makes no-code tools almost a no-brainer. If it gets the job done, there's no shame to it.
π Self-hosting is stressful, time-consuming, and offers little value for us. This is an opportunity cost that vastly outweighs the cost of outsourcing it.
π Microservices make sense since they're so easy to set up, but over time it can become a nightmare to manage that tangled mess. Go monoliths!
